Without God We Are Without a Constitution (1/2)

Unbeknownst to me until yesterday evening, there is a governmental body called the Congressional Freethinkers Caucus. These 14 members of the House of Representatives are absolutely unfit for office because they refuse to recognize where our rights come from so they can get rid of them. First, let’s review where these rights actually come from.

Amendment 10: The powers not delegated to the United States by the Constitution, nor prohibited by it to the states, are reserved to the states respectively, or to the people.

This gives the States the rights to do anything not prohibited for the States to do under the Constitution. For instance, they are not able to regulate interstate commerce nor are they permitted to coin their own money. Anything the State does not regulate is up to the people to regulate on their own. In the Bible there are multiple examples of this such as when Moses gave the 10 Commandments to Israel (Exodus 35). One of the most abused passages in the entire Bible is at Mark 12:17, Yeshua said, “Give the Emperor what belongs to the Emperor. And give to God what belongs to God!” And they were amazed at him.* This passage as well is an example of the differentiation of rights and what authority men are to submit to.

Amendment 9: The enumeration in the Constitution, of certain rights, shall not be construed to deny or disparage others retained by the people.

The People have rights not mentioned in the text of the Constitution and they are not to be messed with. The right of traveling is such a right as is the right to privacy. Israel being barred from leaving Egypt by the Pharaoh is a prime example (Exodus 5 – 12) is a great Biblical example that people have a right to move about. Isaiah 26:20 says Come, my people, enter your rooms, and shut your doors behind you. Hide yourselves for a little while until the wrath is past and Matthew 6:5-6, “When you pray, don’t be like the hypocrites, who love to pray standing in the synagogues and on street corners, so that people can see them. Yes! I tell you, they have their reward already! But you, when you pray, go into your room, close the door, and pray to your Father in secret. Your Father, who sees what is done in secret, will reward you. Both of these passages require a right to privacy.

Amendment 8: Excessive bail shall not be required, nor excessive fines imposed, nor cruel and unusual punishments inflicted.

The apostles were murdered in horrific ways. Christians and many Jews are acutely aware of this. In Isaiah 26:10-11 one of many examples appears, Even if pity is shown to the wicked, he still doesn’t learn what righteousness is.In a land of uprightness he will still act wrongly and fail to see the majesty of Adonai. Adonai, you raised your hand, but they still didn’t see. Yet with shame they will see your zeal for the people. Yes, fire will destroy your enemies. Wrong doers are to be punished accordingly and no more. If death is required God has already let us know what acts justify the punishment (Exodus 21-24). Yeshua further clarified the laws when he prevented sinners from stoning to death an adulteress and demanding, instead, that the woman repent “and sin no more” (John 8:1-11).

Amendment 7: In suits at common law, where the value in controversy shall exceed twenty dollars, the right of trial by jury shall be preserved, and no fact tried by a jury, shall be otherwise reexamined in any court of the United States, than according to the rules of the common law.

Even in Biblical times there were court proceedings. Deuteronomy 1:16, Deuteronomy 17:9, and Exodus 18:21-22 all relate to how this to be conducted. I will elaborate on these passages in the next few Amendments because the Seventh Amendment is really an extension of those Amendments into the civil realm. Perhaps the most famous civil case of all time; however, was judged by Solomon regarding the rightful mother of a contested child in 1 Kings 3:16-28

Amendment 6: In all criminal prosecutions, the accused shall enjoy the right to a speedy and public trial, by an impartial jury of the state and district wherein the crime shall have been committed, which district shall have been previously ascertained by law, and to be informed of the nature and cause of the accusation; to be confronted with the witnesses against him; to have compulsory process for obtaining witnesses in his favor, and to have the assistance of counsel for his defense.

Exodus 18:13-23 explains the reason that we have juries from the Biblical viewpoint aptly:

The following day Moshe sat to settle disputes for the people, while the people stood around Moshe from morning till evening.  When Moshe’s father-in-law saw all that he was doing to the people, he said, “What is this that you are doing to the people? Why do you sit there alone, with all the people standing around you from morning till evening?”  Moshe answered his father-in-law, “It’s because the people come to me seeking God’s guidance.  Whenever they have a dispute, it comes to me; I judge between one person and another, and I explain to them God’s laws and teachings.”

Moshe’s father-in-law said to him, “What you are doing isn’t good.  You will certainly wear yourself out — and not only yourself, but these people here with you as well. It’s too much for you — you can’t do it alone, by yourself.  So listen now to what I have to say. I will give you some advice, and God will be with you. You should represent the people before God, and you should bring their cases to God.  You should also teach them the laws and the teachings, and show them how to live their lives and what work they should do.  But you should choose from among all the people competent men who are God-fearing, honest and incorruptible to be their leaders, in charge of thousands, hundreds, fifties and tens.  Normally, they will settle the people’s disputes. They should bring you the difficult cases; but ordinary matters they should decide themselves. In this way, they will make it easier for you and share the load with you.  If you do this — and God is directing you to do it — you will be able to endure; and all these people too will arrive at their destination peacefully.”

Juries are supposed to be a remedy for the potential of corrupt judges. It is far easier to sway one than it is to sway 12 random people, although that, too, can and has occurred. The Biblical quote takes for granted several details. Israelis lived with Israelis – meaning controversies which arose were always within the jurisdiction described here. Life was meant to be pretty straight forward with only 613 rules to follow – all of which were to be taught to everyone in Israel. Deuteronomy 19:15-21 discusses witnesses. With the ever expanding civil and criminal codes, the rules were are supposed to follow total well into the tens of thousands, not merely 613 laws known to all, and requires what amounts to legal shamans (gatekeepers of knowledge) known as lawyers.

Amendment 5: No person shall be held to answer for a capital, or otherwise infamous crime, unless on a presentment or indictment of a grand jury, except in cases arising in the land or naval forces, or in the militia, when in actual service in time of war or public danger; nor shall any person be subject for the same offense to be twice put in jeopardy of life or limb; nor shall be compelled in any criminal case to be a witness against himself, nor be deprived of life, liberty, or property, without due process of law; nor shall private property be taken for public use, without just compensation.

This Amendment, too, is covered in Exodus 18:13-23 as well as Deuteronomy 19:15-21. Due process is also covered in the example of Solomon given above (1 Kings 3:16-28). Also pertaining to the Sixth Amendment, the Fifth Amendment is not fitting for a people unaffiliated with the morals, the 613 laws, i.e. the Torah, in the Bible. Throughout the Torah, there are multiple references to the provisions in the Fifth Amendment including at Exodus 22:10-11; Leviticus 19:12; Deuteronomy 19:16-21; Deuteronomy 17:5-7; Leviticus 6:2-5; Leviticus 5:1, 5; and Deuteronomy 13:6-10 – there are more references than those included here. Jesus Himself actually remained silent when accused by Pilate of the crimes the leaders of Israel claimed He committed (Matthew 26:62-64).

Amendment 4: The right of the people to be secure in their persons, houses, papers, and effects, against unreasonable searches and seizures, shall not be violated, and no warrants shall issue, but upon probable cause, supported by oath or affirmation, and particularly describing the place to be searched, and the persons or things to be seized.

When you make any kind of loan to your neighbor, you are not to enter his house to take his collateral.  You must stand outside, and the borrower will bring the collateral outside to you” reads Deuteronomy 24:10-11. This is where we get the idea that a man’s home is his castle. Exodus 21:12-14 expands this idea, “Whoever attacks a person and causes his death must be put to death. If it was not premeditated but an act of God, then I will designate for you a place to which he can flee.  But if someone willfully kills another after deliberate planning, you are to take him even from my altar and put him to death.” There are additional references in the Bible to the Fourth Amendment; however, these two passages adequately provide the Biblical rationale for it. The home is the castle of the man and unless there is immediate cause, no one should enter a man’s home for any reason.

Amendment 3: No soldier shall, in time of peace be quartered in any house, without the consent of the owner, nor in time of war, but in a manner to be prescribed by law.

This amendment also supposes the Biblical concept of the Castle Doctrine. Thus, quartering troops in the homes of people, especially in times of peace, is repugnant to the Biblical concept of property and the home. Even in times of war, the homes of citizens are to be respected as much as possible based on the Biblical Law at Deuteronomy 24:10-11.

Amendment 2: A well-regulated militia, being necessary to the security of a free state, the right of the people to keep and bear arms, shall not be infringed.

The right to self-defense is justified throughout the Bible. Esther 8 displays the idea. Nehemiah 4 does as well as Exodus 22:2-3 and Psalm 82:3. The advocates of disarmament completely reject Jesus’ command “if you don’t have a sword, sell your robe to buy one” in Luke 22:36.

There are also a lot of misinterpretations regarding Jesus telling his followers to turn the other cheek. This does not mean to allow yourself to be murdered or abused. Jesus is actually referencing several locations in the Torah when he states this. Exodus 21:22-25 describes the punishment of harming a baby in the womb. Leviticus 24:17-21 describes punishments for people who purposefully harm other people or animals. Deuteronomy 19:16-21 is about false testimony which equates to lying to God. All four verses mention an eye for an eye. Jesus never suggested the laws of the Torah be forgotten. He suggested that we are to be the salt of the earth and win sould for the Kingdom of Heaven. How can we do this if we are an angry people constantly seeking to do harm to others over slight indiscretions?

On top of missing what the Torah stated in the first place, there is also a cultural context here. You can read about in more in depth at the First Fruits of Zion website which I also quote from, “Yeshua was not speaking about physical violence, which required payment, but about insults. He was instructing us to allow ourselves to be insulted without retaliating. This follows the same theme as his other teachings about humbling ourselves, forgiving others, and seeking reconciliation.” In order for someone to slap a person on the right check either the left hand would need to be used (the culture frowned on this) or a backhand would need to be used which was fined double. Thus, You have heard that our fathers were told, ‘Eye for eye and tooth for tooth.’[h] 39 But I tell you not to stand up against someone who does you wrong. On the contrary, if someone hits you on the right cheek, let him hit you on the left cheek too! (Matthew 5:38-39) has no bearing on self-defense – it has to do completely with ignoring the insults hurled at one’s self.

Amendment 1: Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the government for a redress of grievances.

I went backwards through the Bill of Rights for a reason. This is the showcase showdown. This is where the haters of God are attacking the followers of God most successfully. There are five provisions in this Amendment and all of them are being weaponized against believers.

The first provision forbids the FEDERAL GOVERNMENT from establishing a religion. Being as such, the States are free to establish any religion they wish. States which has religious establishments found themselves to lose a lot of people due to not wanting to pay the church taxes levied on them. Massachusetts was the last state to end it’s establishment of a church in 1833. Any State could, Constitutionally, decide tomorrow that there will be an established church in the State. This is where the second clause comes into play.

If a State so chooses to establish a church, the federal government is in no way able to prohibit the exercise of that religion. Both clauses, together, are known as the Establishment Clause. Law and Liberty wrote in 2019, “The Establishment Clause serves two purposes: it both prohibits Congress from Establishing a religion but it also prohibits Congress from meddling with state religious establishments.” A giant irreconcilable conflict arises when the Fourteenth Amendment is considered in relation to the Establishment Clause. The Fourteenth Amendment mandates that all states follow the Bill of Rights. And it is through this irreconcilable conflict that the haters of God attack all believers in any faith. The Establishment Clause was never meant to regulate the States – it was meant to keep the federal government from meddling in the State’s religious affairs thus, the Fourteenth Amendment cannot overrule the earlier Amendment unless it repeals the Establishment Clause altogether.

I am Adonai returns 633 matches in the CJB Bible. Most of the time God says this is because He is telling His people that He, alone, is the reason the universe exists. Throughout the Bible those not believing in God are described – some of them even play fairly important roles in God’s plans. The story of Saul turning into Paul describes the idea that those who do not believe in God have the opportunity to do so, meaning we have free will. If enough like-minded people decide to exercise their free will in a State within the union a State religion could be established, say Messianic Judaism or Biblical Christianity, and residents of the state could even be made to support the establishment of that church. That is what the Constitution says. The haters of God have decided otherwise.

The third clause promises freedom of speech and of the press (they are one in the same) which does not exist at all in the world where weaponized media outlets aggressively promote paid-for narratives while demanding those not following their narrative be silenced. Despite the tyrants which shut down any speech against their COVID-19, global government, election, replacement immigration, racism, special rights for non-reproductive humans, and climate change narratives, free speech is actually provided for in the Bible. Proverbs 18:21 is based not only on free speech but free will as well and pierces to the heart of the current battle over speech today. It reads, Death and life are in the power of the tongue, and those who love it will eat its fruits. The truth of God needs to flow forth and the lies of Satan need to be silenced. The reverse is true in the US today.

Freedom of assembly also appears within the pages of the Bible. In Matthew 18:15-20 Jesus states some very important truths, including what assembling in His name means, “Moreover, if your brother commits a sin against you, go and show him his fault — but privately, just between the two of you. If he listens to you, you have won back your brother.  If he doesn’t listen, take one or two others with you so that every accusation can be supported by the testimony of two or three witnesses.  If he refuses to hear them, tell the congregation; and if he refuses to listen even to the congregation, treat him as you would a pagan or a tax-collector.  Yes! I tell you people that whatever you prohibit on earth will be prohibited in heaven, and whatever you permit on earth will be permitted in heaven.  To repeat, I tell you that if two of you here on earth agree about anything people ask, it will be for them from my Father in heaven.  For wherever two or three are assembled in my name, I am there with them.”

There are a laundry list of passages about grievances in the Bible. The entire book of Job and Lamentations is rife with grievances as is the Torah. What is a government, made of mortals, which will not hear the cries of it’s people if it not condemned by God? Yes, God will use such governments to punish the wicked, but He will also protect those who are righteous under the tyranny.

In conclusion, all of the Bill of Rights is supported by the Bible. The Bible is where our morality is supposed to come from. Our Constitution relies so heavily on the morality found in the Bible that even one of the most hedonistic non-Christians involved in framing the second US Constitution, Benjamin Franklin (who lived a lot of his life in Europe and frequented the Hellfire Club), is credited with the quote, “What can laws do without morals?” He is also credited with stating, “Only a virtuous people are capable of freedom. As nations become corrupt and vicious, they have more need of masters.” Even Benjamin Franklin recognized that God’s morality needed to be the basis from which the Constitution flowed.

In part two (because this article is longer than intended to begin with) I will show you how much members of the US government absolutely hate the God which has given us our morality. This includes elected members of our democratic republic. That isn’t shocking – you already know they hate the United States and that they have no use for Biblical morality. My intent is to show you how close we are to losing all of those rights so we can defend ourselves from the slaughter which will follow should they succeed in their endeavors. Until then, read the Bible like your life depends on it, because it does.
