Virtual Reality

Virtual Reality (VR) is now on the market, popularized by Meta’s (formerly Facebook) Oculus system. The lure is full visual and audio immersion onto a digitized reality, usually with a goal involved, making it some sort of contest or game. The downfall of VR users will be using it, especially as techniques of emulating taste, feel, and smell are developed and deployed. The movie the Matrix does not seem as science fiction as it did when it was released.

The Center for the Preservation of Humanity realizes the promises of VR to isolate individuals and further fracture a human reality. As such, we seek to educate the public of the dangers such devices pose. We also seek to legally and legislatively challenge and scuttle any attempt by VR creators to evolve their systems from video games to any kind of implantable technology, data collection, or the harvesting of any biological substance and/or energy from a human body.
